An ancient map for the urban jungle
Get started with your journey to self-awareness.

Serving misfits and outsiders in the urban jungle since 2009

Are you struggling to navigate the concrete, hashtags and pixels of modern life in the urban jungle?
Sometimes it can feel like our time is being hijacked by toxic relationships, family members, bosses, corporations, naff politicians and phone alerts that serve anyone but us!
I studied the medicine wheel back in 2009 at a time when I was struggling to stay on the corporate ladder. It seemed as though the more I tried to fit in, the more challenging things would become.
I couldn’t stay because my confidence spiral was out of control and I felt surrounded by vipers.
Yet, I couldn’t leave either because, well, money!
Working with the medicine wheel allowed me to stop the clock, honour my emotions and remember that I had choices. From this vantage point, everything felt so simple and I confidently walked.
If only I’d known I had the power to choose. Yeah I was skint for a while, but the time and headspace I gained to focus on a plan was PRICELESS.
f only I’d known I had the power of choice.
The medicine wheel is a potent, self-development map, which can propel you towards the root cause of any issue, habit or trauma and illuminate the path towards positive change.
I studied the medicine wheel back in 2009 and it continues to give me a deep understanding my own story as I circle around the boundaries of my own neuroses.
I put this course together for three reasons:
1 - I want to give people an easy way in to start working with these ancient maps. Who knows, it might prompt a study path for you too!
2 - I teach people how to read the tarot and learning how to intuitively connect with the elements, or suits, from the inside is essential to understanding the richness of this visual language.
2 - I do a lot of 1-2-1 work and sessions tend to flow a lot better when the people I serve are acutely aware of their life themes. Put simply, this is the perfect place to start if you’re struggling with the demands of urban life or feeling like something’s off, yet can’t work out how to find balance and feel BETTER.
If every client came to me having already visited these parts of themselves, it would make my job so much easier!
Struggling to navigate the concrete, hashtags and pixels of modern life?

You aren’t broken and you don’t need fixing
Pssst! Here’s the secret;
I’ve worked with urban misfits from a huge range of genders, sexual orientations, colours & faiths.
Over and over, I’ve heard stories of not feeling good enough, stemming from some kind of formative trauma.
Some didn’t even realise they carried this stuff, until delving into their story.
Do you ever feel like something’s a bit out of balance, but aren’t sure where to begin? Crikey I can so relate!
Good news alert! The work is done when you make the decision to show up.
It’s simple, all you need to do is let go and trust the process.
I’ll provide the tools, but always remember YOU are the medicine!

Gong bathing
-
An immersive, vibrational sound massage that ripples through your muscles, joints, bones and organs; travelling right down into your cells and beyond. Complex instruments are used to frame a profound silence, which can be used to transform negative energy, balance the brain hemispheres and assist the body in healing itself.
-
There’s a harmonic structure to all reality and everything is in resonance. Tuning in and surrendering can work on many levels, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually – but psychobabble aside, it’s also a great way to beat stress and relax.
Yogi Bhajan, who brought Kundalini yoga and knowledge of the gong to the West in the late 1960s, commented that the gong is the only instrument with the power to still the human mind. Those that struggle to meditate – take note.
-
I work with the following Paiste gongs, all manufactured by hand in North Germany:
38″ Symphonic gong
24″ Uranus planet gong
Paiste gongs are favoured by orchestras, performance artists and sound therapists alike, due to the high quality of workmanship and purity of metals used in their alloys.
I also incorporate Biosonic tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, shamanic drums, rainsticks, rattles, leaf bundles, tingsha cymbals, an ocean drum and a bull roarer for dramatic effect.
-
The unfathomable gong sound produces a range of harmonics, some of which are beyond detection by the human ear. Each strike blossoms and fades, mimicking the sound of the original “om”. These hypnotic drones stimulate the brain to produce theta waves, inducing a meditative state where deep healing can occur.
Gongs also have a very commanding presence, which makes them a great tool for working with large groups in workshop situations.
-
Anything from a 15-minute pick-me-up, to a two-hour sonic oasis incorporating conscious breathing techniques.
Rebirthing breathwork
-
A journey to deepen your relationship with yourself using the breath.
-
I’ll invite you to connect the inhale and the exhale, bringing awareness to your natural breathing rhythm. In doing so, you’ll relax deeply and discover tensions in the body which link to emotions, thoughts and narratives.
With each phase of relaxation, you shed an old skin, stirring up sensory memories like the peeling of an onion. Feeling into these delicate places can be a powerful way to work with challenging life events, connecting behaviours to childhood patterns from your formative years. Some people even spiral back to the experience of being born!
-
I work mainly on intuition, providing interventions like verbal communication and hand placements where appropriate. This interplay brings something interesting to the session, as all physical, mental and emotional responses can be honoured and incorporated into the breath process.
Try a group breathe! Even the most independent person needs an ally and on this basis, absolutely everything works.
-
Traditional meditation follows a suggested breath count to access deeper states. The Rebirthing process surrenders all control, allowing you to ride the waves of your natural breathing mechanism with a detached curiosity.
Calm, erratic, fatigued, ecstatic, frustrated, sleepy, laboured or mundane. No rules. No comparisons. No destination. All moods welcome and interesting!
-
Rebirthing helps to integrate emotions we have long suppressed. It isn’t about feeling better. It’s about getting better at feeling, all the while gently noticing what this brings up for you. Remember this: you aren’t broken and don’t need fixing.
“There is no way around it. The way out is through and the way through is in.” Michael Brown (Presence Process)
-
A typical session normally takes around 90-minutes, allowing time either side to form an intent and share insights. Shorter sessions are available on request.
Shamanic journeying
-
A shamanic journey takes you from one state of consciousness to another, using a drum to navigate.
In doing so, we move away from our physical body, bones and solid matter, towards a lighter, more flexible, energetic body, where emotions and thoughts reside. From this platform, we can access our vital essence, soul or spirit body and rub up against life’s mysteries to seek answers on our own terms.
-
How long have you got? On a basic level, it’s great for relaxation and stress relief.
For those ready to go deep, a session can get right underneath your trauma and neuroses, offering valuable insights to shift addictions, habits, physical ailments and behaviour patterns from childhood (dis-connection creates dis-ease).
It can also bring healing to a specific situation, allowing you to take stock and press the reset button.
-
Allow the beat of the drum to guide you down the rabbit hole of your very own, inner world; explore open portals and alternate realities where soul parts, elementals, spirit guides, animals and ancestors all vie for attention. Our childlike sense of adventure reminds us that we are both the dreamer and the dream itself.
Probe, play and explore! The more focused your intent, the deeper the drum will take you and the bigger the insights you’ll receive in return. Sacred tobacco snuff, known as rapé (pron. “ha-pay”) can be used as a medicinal aid to focus your visions and on rare occasions, I’ll offer to journey on your behalf.
The real challenge however, is opening to the possibility of grounding these insights for use in the everyday.
-
Drumming makes you feel good! A frequency of 180 beats per minute can slow brain waves to around 8 cycles per second, mimicking the frequency of the planet. Attuning to the familiar heartbeat of Mother Earth can stir deep ancestral memories, bringing us back into alignment with our true nature.
-
Modern science now suggests that our collective thoughts create the physical world around us.
There’s medicine to be found in surrendering to the abstract! Your thoughts, feelings, dreams and visions are your own to define: whether you believe in them or not is immaterial.
“Stop being childish.”
“It’s just your imagination.”
Many of us are fed these statements as we prepare for the responsibilities of adulthood. Our imagination is a place of innate wisdom, so often ignored by the outward-facing distractions of modern life.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge.” – Albert Einstein
-
Typically 1-hour which will allow time either side to form an intent and share insights.
-
Soul surgery is a tool applied to a shamanic journeying session. It is the process of understanding, befriending and re-integrating the outcast parts of ourselves, so we can discover our unique power and become energised and whole once more.
No one can take our power because it’s inherently ours. However, we may become disconnected, trapped or set adrift from it in a variety of ways. Common causes can be shock, illness, depression, trauma, abuse or bereavement. This can be known as soul loss.
There are two main types of soul surgery:
Soul retrieval is a journey to our inner world to help us locate, recover and reintegrate these lost parts of the soul.
A soul release is a journey to untangle and walk away from unhealthy patterns. Sometimes our energy becomes intertwined with partners, friends or career paths in a way that’s messy and detrimental to all.

Tarot is a symbolic language and ancient system of storytelling or divination using a pack of cards.
Divination is a ritual framework for gaining insight into a question or situation.
-
Caught between a rock and a hard place? Has your home, work or love life hit a wall?

Disentangle confused threads
Give you a better understanding of yourself and others
Offer fresh perspectives
Suggest positive directions
Predict likely outcomes

Occult writers suggest tarot is 35,000 years old with links to ancient Egypt and the Qabalah (or Kabbalah). I’m a fan of this theory, however, no documented evidence of tarot (or tarocchi) exists prior to 14th century Italy.
-
The Tarot is a pack of 78 cards divided into two sections:
The Minor arcana contains 56 cards divided into four suits, wands, cups, swords and pentacles.
The Major arcana contains 22 picture cards. These are defining symbols, or archetypes, of the human experience.
In short: the minor arcana deals with practical, everyday issues and the major arcana tracks the journey of the soul.
-
I’ve acquired ten decks over the years so take your pick. Queers, goths and cat lovers all catered for.
I also work with Doreen Virtue’s Angel Cards, the Aboriginal Dreamtime Oracle and a particularly potent, Animal Medicine deck.
-
Timing will determine my approach. Mammoth, 20-card spreads can weave together intricate themes and are great fun to try. Less is often more however and a single card can be enough to kickstart your process.
The theatrics of storytelling and mystic woo can be addictive, so there comes a point when it’s necessary to halt your questions and do the work.
My aim is to help you walk the walk by feeding the insights of tarot into a wider programme of support.
-
Much as I’d love a caravan on Brighton pier, I’m no Psychic Sue.
-
According to the great mathematician, Pythagoras, “all is number” and far from being meaningless accidents, all happenings across the universe can be reduced down to a specific numerical value or vibration.
So did you just pick that card, or did it pick you? Or both?
-
Each card is a blank canvas for your projections, so steer clear of doomsday tarot clichés:
The Death card points to transition in all its forms, not always unwelcome, e.g. a new job.
The Devil doesn’t preach materialism is bad, but can alert us to unhealthy attachments, or even point to a great sex life.
A collapsing Tower can be a great leveller, clearing space to create opportunity from the rubble.
-
A typical reading normally takes around 30-minutes.

Medicine wheel
-
Seven directions counselling provides a potent self-development map, which can propel you towards the root cause of any issue, habit or trauma and illuminate the direction towards positive change.
This is an ancient technique which takes place in the context of the medicine wheel. Present moment awareness engages a style of active listening known as the hollow bone which, in modern terms, can be linked to the practice of Rogerian, person-centred psychotherapy (PCT).
-
I ask a series of directed questions and the invitation is to allow answers to manifest unexpectedly and organically. Don’t be concerned if your mind goes blank, the task is complete from the moment you pose the question with sincerity.
-
Accessing information without the application of thought may seem precarious, owing to the mentally-dominated approach of our education system. Many insights, especially those rooted in our formative years, are only accessible through emotional states, physical sensations or energies in motion.
All roads to healing point towards our childhood. By unravelling our past we can see our story more clearly. Here we can feel our way into early trauma and release emotions in a safe environment.
-
An ancient map for the urban jungle!
The medicine wheel points to the four directions, elements or aspects of the self. The centre, fifth, direction is the place of balance, from which creation flows. Then there’s the duality of above and below, totalling seven; the creator in manifestation or life experiencing itself.
-
The medicine wheel is a tool applied to a Seven Directions Counselling session. It’s a potent self-development map, which can propel you towards the root cause of any issue, habit or trauma and illuminate the direction towards positive change.
As the wheel turns we change shape, re-dream our existence, create new habits, make new choices and ultimately, become energised and whole once more.
-
The south of the wheel (water) represents the child within, and the importance of trust, innocence, play and honouring emotional flow. Blockages create build up and stagnation, the dam breaks and tears fall. What’s moving in you?
The west (earth) reflects our physicality and mortality. The only certainty in life is change and daring to look within gives us an understanding of how we manifest our daily lives and hold our emotions in our body. Are your feet firmly on the ground?
The north (air) rides the breath, bringing us into the present and allowing us to respond from a place of calmness, truth and integrity. This is our primal instinct that knows its own experience and can cut through the bullshit contained in secondhand truths and beliefs. Breathe in a fresh perspective!
The east (fire) is an expression of our spirit, vital energy, individuality and life force expressed through our passions. This is where we realise our unique power and limitless ability to transform. Stoke the fire in your belly!
We undertake this journey for ourselves and all our relations. Mitakuye Oyasin (Lakota Sioux prayer – “all are related”).

Cacao is a psychoactive superfood and a key ingredient in chocolate. She’s also a master plant medicine, alongside the likes of Ayahuasca, San Pedro and Cannabis.
She is consumed as a warm, medicinal drink during ceremony, to calm the mind and activate the emotional, heart centre.
-
I use ceremonial grade cacao, direct from the Asháninka tribe in the lower Amazon basin of Peru. It’s 100% raw and organic with no slave labour, processing or genetically modified crap.
-
Many report a deep relaxation and palpable expansion around the chest area (a bit like having a huge hug), which shows you where you may be resisting or holding onto painful experiences and unhealthy behaviour patterns.
-
Yes, thank Goddess! Cacao is effectively the last master plant medicine standing in the West. She’s been hiding away in chocolate since the 16th century, hence avoiding all the legal scapegoating.
Psychoactive substances, including magic mushrooms, cannabis and DMT are illegal under UK law, yet loopholes exist for mainstream substances such as alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.
-
My ceremonies are generally tailored to groups. They are suitable for newbies, with no clue about shamanic ceremony, to the experienced among you, who are ready to sink into your inner wisdom, beyond patterns of conditioning.
-
Cacao contains similar psychoactive properties to marijuana. When ingested, she triggers a cascade of brain chemicals which mimic the feeling of being in love.
Some even receive visions or go into an intense dialogue with the medicine. It’s not uncommon to emerge with a clear set of directives!
-
Nope. There are no known risks, so you can drive and operate fancy machinery under her influence.
She’s an extremely subtle and gentle plant to work with; perfect for city environments and those fearing the ayahuasca route to healing.
-
The best way to work with cacao is without any expectations. All that’s required is a willingness to show up, along with a readiness to meet the medicine half-way.
If you want to dive-deep, complete surrender is key and the responsibility to create lasting change is yours.
-
It’s a four-hour, guided, medicine journey incorporating group sharing, breathing techniques, gong sounds and tarot cards.
Shorter sessions are available on request.
-
Cacao is one of the most powerful superfoods around, with 40-times more antioxidants than blueberries. It’s also the primary source of magnesium on the planet. Low levels have been associated with depression and high blood pressure as well as a number of chronic diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, type-2 diabetes, hypertension, stroke and ADHD.
Ingested, it triggers a cascade of neurotransmitters including Phenylethylamine (PEA), the rich, sensuous chemical we naturally produce when we fall in love. Then there’s the bliss molecule, Anandamide, which contains similar psychoactive properties to marijuana.
Scientists just discovered she contains the ‘bliss molecule’, anandamide (derived from the Sanskrit word ananda, which means joy, bliss and delight).

Hey! 👋

I work with misfits and outsiders in the urban jungle, both online and in a cozy, North London gong room.
